Under the philosophy of “passing on Japanese culture to the future,” Kamari Maeda has been promoting Japanese culture, mainly through calligraphy, overseas since 2015.
He continues his activities with the hope that many people will become interested in Japanese culture and feel the significance of passing it on to the future.
Fortunately, more and more of his works are being collected by art galleries and museums around the world.

Brazil
Museu Nacional da República
「生生流転(the cycle of life)」 / 2025
“Seiseiruten”is a Buddhist term that describes the constant cycle of birth and change in all things. It refers to the ever-changing nature of the world and the transience of all things.
We pray that Brasilia, a World Heritage city, will continue to change and make new history.
「創造(creation)」 / 2025
Imagine a future in which new creations will be made in Brasilia, a city created as a planned city, as it moves toward the future.

「一期一会(once-in-a-lifetime encounter)」 / 2025
Keep in mind that every encounter is the first and last, and cherish this moment. And then, as if it were inevitable, the pattern of lines formed by the asphalt molds that can only be expressed in this place is engraved on the fabric.
「人(human)」 / 2025
The ancestors of humankind, who appeared 7 million years ago, have continued to evolve and are still evolving today as modern humans. And the connections between people will be another step toward the great evolution of humankind. I hope that the friendship between Japan and Brazil will continue forever.
